A message from Dr. Betts and Staff
We hope this communication finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines now that out dental office is back open. While many things have changed, our commitment to your safety has not.
As you have surely seen during your visits to our office, cleanliness and infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our strict processes have consistently made the care you receive here both safe and comfortable.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U. S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition, we are under a special COVID-19 directive during this time from the Board of Dental Examiners and the State Department of Health. We continue to closely monitor the recommendations of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
When it is time for your next appointment, you will see some changes along with our already strict infection control protocols. For example:
–Our office will conduct a COVID-19 screening at the time of your appointment. This will include a questionnaire and taking your temperature.
–We will dispense hand sanitizer upon entering the office.
—Only patients will be allowed to enter the building, with the following exceptions: one parent or guardian accompanying a child patient; one caretaker/assistant for the elderly or infirm patient. All others must remain in their vehicle.
–You will see our reception area will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys and other items which cannot be properly disinfected. You may want to bring your own reading material, iPad, etc.
–Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing, which might mean that you’re offered slightly limited options for scheduling your appointment.
–You may be requested to wait in your car in order to accomplish the distancing needed.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone safe!
